Nordic Council projects on Retailers and SCP The Copenhagen Resource Institute has been awarded a contract by the Nordic Council, via the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. We will co-operate with IIIEE at Lund University (Sweden), SIFO (Norway), Environice Island (Iceland) and NCRC (Sweden). The purpose of the project is to identify how the Nordic authorities can further facilitate retailer responsibility in relation to sustainable consumption and production, and to define the role the Nordic retail industry can take. The project will take place in 2010. Furthermore, we are subcontractors in another project for the Nordic Council regarding a Workshop on Sustainable Consumption, lead by Lund University in Sweden. The purpose of this project is to determine how the Nordic authorities can facilitate voluntary interventions to promote sustainable consumption among citizens and businesses. The workshop will take place in autumn 2010.
